Work in situ, 2010

While unpacking a piece of work from storage today I came across the most beautiful little toad. I thought he was an old dead leaf until I tried to brush him away which he seemed to resent and spread out all his legs to make himself look bigger.  I think he was a bit dazed and very slowly tried to make his way out of my 'pot'.

So slow in fact I could take these lovely pictures of him peering over the side.

And then he was gone.  Hopefully to make his home in my garden.

The piece of work where I found him will now be forever known as 'the toad pot'.
Here it is:
Delivered three pieces of work to Avebury Manor Gardens today.  A new venue for me and really lovely. Beautiful house dating back to goodness knows when and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous.

I felt I had stepped back in time.
Had a walk round 'the stones' quite magical on an exceptionally warm summers day.

The exhibition starts on Friday the 27th until the 25th September.
Delivered work to Wisley last Thursday for their annual sculpture exhibition which continues until the 25th September.  Exhibiting three pieces this year. I thought 'Caught' was a little bit overwhelmed by Wisley but never mind. Gardens as beautiful as ever.
